WHAT promises to be a right royal run out takes place in Peter Tavy on Monday, June 4 — and it's all in aid of two local charities.

The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee trail run, sponsored by Dartmoor Brewery, starts and finishes at the Peter Tavy Inn and covers five miles of trail to the ancient Langstone and back, starting at 11am.

The event is part of the Peter Tavy Jubilee celebrations. All profits will be split between Devon Air Ambulance and Wingletang Animal Rescue. Entry fee is £6 (£8 on the day). There are prizes to overall male/female winners and the first male veteran 40 plus and first female veteran 35 plus.
