BERE Alston FC?and Princetown FC?found themselves without a fixture on Saturday due to the icy weather and waterlogged pitches.

So rather than waste a good afternoon of footie a friendly was quickly arranged with Princetown FC's Saturday team (in white) at the all weather pitch at Crowndale.

The result was a 9-1 win to Bere Alston — cold comfort to Princetown but at least both sides had a good workout to keep the cold out.
