FOUR lucky footballers from Shebbear College recently visited Glasgow Rangers' youth academy for a week to experience life as a professional footballer.
Charles Green, chief executive of Rangers, invited Joe Furber, Reece Stanbury, Leonel Nordmann and Harry Landymore to visit the club. Headmaster Bob Barnes, head of Shebbear College Junior School Mike Furber and sports coaches Nick Law and Andy Bryan, accompanied the quartet.
As well as being given a warm welcome and getting the chance to train with players, they were also given tickets to a title-deciding reserve match played at Ibrox. The following day they received a guided tour around the stadium, including the board rooms and trophy rooms.
The college expressed thanks to Charles Green and Rangers Football Club for the opportunity.
