FOLLOWING a successful open water swimming season, mother and son Yvonne and Cameron Carpenter-Warren returned to the pool for the Devon seniors and masters championships.

They competed at Tiverton Sports Centre where Cameron won the 50m freestyle, not only in his age group, but also producing the fastest time of the day overall. He also won silver medals in both the 50m backstroke and butterfly.

Yvonne won four silver medals in the 40 to 44 year age group, competing in the 50m+100m breaststroke and the 50m freestyle and butterfly.
