Plymouth and West Devon division three Plymouth United B 2

Horrabridge Rangers 5

AFTER two months with no football due to poor weather, Horrabridge Rangers played their first game of 2014 on a surprising sunny Sunday.

Horrabridge took the lead after 15 minutes when United players failed to play to the whistle and Ross Sherrell took the ball past defender and keeper to easily slot home.

Rangers then switched off for the remainder of the half, sloppy passing and poor decisions gifting United two easy, well taken goals.

After a firm word from the management team at half time Horrabridge came out firing, dominating the early part of the second half. However, it was not untll the 65th minute when they scored the equaliser.

Josh Robins whipped in a free kick that man of the match Ben Stephens smashed in on the volley. This seemed to take the fight from United and Horrabridge rallied.

Ross Sherrell's sublime piece of control saw him brought down in the area, from which Ben Stephens hit home. With United reeling Rangers hit them with a late Dom Beech double salvo — on both occasions firing from outside the area with power and precision.
