A RUNNING club is appealing for fundraisers to enter a road race in East Cornwall in aid of bereaved children. Plymouth Musketeers Running Club is donating proceedings from its five-mile road race to the charity Jeremiah's Journey.
The race is on Saturday, June 23 evening at St Dominic, near Cotehele. The charity supports bereaved children and young people, their parents and carers at the Mustard Tree Centre in Derriford Hospital.
Bryan King, Plymouth Musketeers chairman, said: 'We are delighted to run this race in aid of Jeremiah's Journey. This charity is well respected for its crucial work supporting youngsters who have lost someone special. Their skilled workers communicate with the children in a way they can understand and are able to relate to the emotions and feelings of turmoil they are going through.
'Jeremiah's Journey gives invaluable time and support when children and their families need it most.'
