MORE than 150 runners took part in the annual Burrator Horseshoe Run on Saturday – a seven mile moorland run.
The popular event is a part of the Meavy Oak Fair.
The Horseshoe was won by Chagford extreme runner Brennan Townshend in a superb time of 38 minutes 14 seconds. He was followed home by Dax Williams in 41.03 and Andy Connor in third in 41.45.
Okehampton Running Club’s Andrew Vernon was best veteran in 48.30.
The first local male was Justin Crewe in a time of 46.31 while the first female was Tara Aird in 52.50; Catherine Shortman was second female and first female veteran in 55.15.
