BATTING first Kingsbridge started slowly against the accurate opening attack of Del Lammonby and Jake Griffiths and lost wickets at regular intervals.
At the end of 16 overs Kingsbridge were 43 for 5, with James Westlake and Richard Carr both making 16.
However, against inaccurate change bowling Elliott Bradbury and Sri Lakan Bhanu De Silva stood firm and looked comfortable at the crease taking the score to 88 without difficulty, but the introduction of experienced Spinner Chris Rowlands into the attack brought almost immediate results. He had De Silva well caught, then bowled top scorer Bradbury for an excellent 36 and the rest collapsed as Kingsbridge were all out for 103 in 36 overs.
Jake Griffiths finished with 3-3, Del Lammonby 2-14 and Rowlands 4-10 in his seven overs.
Despite losing James Fulner for 15 Chagford's reply was bright and breezy and Divan Marais and Paul Penberthy continued their good form with the bat, playing shots all round the wicket with Marais being particularly severe on the bowling until he was well caught with the score at 101.
Jon Wright and Paul Penberthy (24 not out) saw the home side home to victory by eight wickets in just 17 overs.
Marais top scored with 58 to add to his four excellent catches he made during the Kingsbridge innings. The solitary wicket takers for Kingsbridge were Neal Peach 1-33 and De Silva 1-22.
As a result Chagford move to second in the table behind Bridestowe and the two friendly rivals meet on Saturday at Bridestowe.
