OKEHAMPTON Running Club members took part in the Fulfords' Five miler, a two lap race around the streets of Exmouth organised by Exmouth Harriers.
Roger Voaden led the way and, averaging under six minute miles, recorded a personal best in a time of 28 minutes 56 seconds — setting a club record for five miles in the male vet 45 age group. Paul Carter also ran a great race to finish in 30.03 and Brandon Dickons, running in his first competitive race, completed in 41.51.
The three ORC ladies have only taken part in a few races and took advantage of a rare five mile distance — all enjoying a good run, their times being: Liz Harris 47.41, Sarah Woolacott 48.53, Marilyn Ley 51.59
