THE plate final of Tavistock Squash and Racketball Clubs top annual competition was held last month.

It was won by Richard Baxter beating Simon Powell 3-1.

After a slow start from both players Richard got into his stride first to take the first game 15-10 only for Simon to come back strongly taking the second game 15-6.

The third game proved similar to game one with Richard finishing strongly to win it 15-9.

In the fourth game it was 8-8 when Richards took the game 15-8 and won the match.
