FOLLOWING a successful 2015 for the South West Kickboxing Academy and Martial Arts (SWKA) Richard Steer won his second student of the month award and also won student of the year award for 2014.

Richard, who has become a number one contender for a national title, constantly trains hard each week and gets involved with all club activities.

Head coach and fourth dan Steve Lilley said: 'This is an exciting time to join us especially if you need to kick on or a kick in the right direction in 2015.

'We currently have space for about 10 new students on a Friday night. So if you are looking to get fit, learn self defence, personal development, alongside many others we can help — so why not come and give us a try, there's nothing to lose.

'We are a semi-contact club, which means there is no trying to knock each other unconscious. So it's very safe!'
