Rentafford 26

Plymstock Panthers 12

KATE Bourn was on great form from the start for Callington netball team Rentafford as she intercepted a Plymstock first centre pass and Sophie Jury converted. Jury scored again but Plymstock brought it back to 2-2. Naomi Kent made a couple of intercepts putting Renttaford on a roll scoring the next six to make it 8-2.

Plymstock brought on a new shooter and centre. Bourn made another intercept straight from the whistle and converted. Plymstock’s changes worked well and they scored the next three. Jury started driving out of the circle for Rentafford, linking well with the attack of Gemma Cole and Helen Veness to make it 15-5.

The Panthers’ defence switched around which their opponents found hard to deal with. Plymstock intercepted and converted and a couple of missed shots from Rentafford put Plymstock back in the game.

Channon and Dustan both made two intercepts but Rentafford were struggling to convert them all. Cole was feeding the shooters well along with Veness but they were still not converting as the score became 18-9.

In the final quarter there were more changes from the Plymstock defence. Veness made the first intercept and Rentafford were now back to scoring as Kent at WD was working well feeding the long balls into player of the match Bourn.
