THE annual inter-set swimming gala at Mount House School saw keen competition and many superb performances, including a new school record.

The gala is a competition between the sets, and this year's clear winners were Hawks, followed by Otters, Kangs and Owls.

The outstanding individual performance was the girls' U9 one-length freestyle, which Charlotte Love won in a new record time of 16.37 seconds, beating the previous record by 0.45 of a second.

Ollie Piper won the over-12 one-length mixed butterfly event, and the over 12 boys' two-length freestyle.

The Dolphin relay was won by the Owls team.
