THE Dartmoor Radio Sailing Club hosted a district event for the South West Model Yacht Association on Sunday.

Skippers from Bideford, Sedgemoor and West Cornwall attended, and together with skippers from the Dartmoor club enjoyed a day of close racing in weather which had moderate winds, heavy squalls, and some heavy rain, and even a little sunshine. Despite the weather a total of 17 races were held and after discards the results were a resounding win for West Cornwall skippers Gavin Watson, first with 20 points, second Simon Clarke with 47pts and thid, Barry Chisum with 48pts.
