DARTMOOR Radio Sailing Club held the final race of the Winter Series 2016/2017 for the Dragonforce Class.

The boats sailed were the Dragonforce RG65 radio controlled yachts. This is an entry class of yacht, increasingly being sailed by experienced helmsmen and is a rapidly growing class on a national scale.

The day was overcast and rainy, with winds forecasted to be Westerly at 20 mph. In the late morning the wind increased noticeably and the crews decided to change down to the number two rig, in effect, reefing down. One of the boats had radio trouble, and had to retire.
