AT Tavistock Squash Club, in a rerun of the 2014 final, Nigel Eadie outplayed Joe Kuipers, the 2015 winner, to become the club’s Racketball Trophy champion again.

Cleverly, Nigel never really let his opponent settle into his game and he overpowered Joe in the first game. In the second Joe clawed his way back into a winning position, but Nigel kept to his intelligent game plan and thwarted Joe’s efforts. Nigel then continued his quality play throughout the third game, balancing his drives and drop shots to perfection and showing great court awareness.

Winning 3-0 was a fair reflection of the play, with Nigel becoming a worthy champion. The match was played in great spirit with both players demonstrating the sort of courtesy to each other that is a hallmark of the Tavistock Squash Club.
