TAVISTOCK Running Project, in their distinctive orange vests, showed their strength by dominating the Cornwood 10K last Saturday, placing three runners in the top four.
Adam Holland produced a storming run to set a new course record, followed home by team mate Jim Cole, with Jordan Channon taking fourth place. They were well supported by Steve Watson, Dan Pearce and Dan Dooney.
Not to be outdone, Rachael Malthouse ran strongly for second place in the women’s race and looks set for a major breakthrough in the coming year.
Earlier in the day Oliver Smart had a dominant performance at the Tamar Trails Parkrun. On a cool windy morning, 15-year-old Ollie set off on a mission, distancing himself from the opposition and building an unassailable lead before the tough climb to the finish.
He was rewarded with a new course record of 16 minutes 48 seconds, finishing more than 90 seconds in front of the next competitor.
Further back in seventh position was Matthew Teague in a time of 21 mins 29 secs.
