TAVISTOCK Run Project continued to be a major presence on the local running scene with a strong performance at the Tavy7 last Sunday.

On a cold and blustery day the club took individual and team wins emphasising their development. Jordan Andrews produced a dominant display, to retain the title he won last year, while Ed Smart making the transition from the junior to senior ranks ran a mature race for third place. Completing the male team were Dan Pearce and Craig Howells who were well supported by Matt Teague, Umberto Bergonzini and Chris Malthouse.

In the ladies’ division Rachael Malthouse took third place and Emma Dooney continued her upward curve of development with a strong run.

On the same day, TRP had two athletes representing Devon in the Gloucester 10k. In a high quality field Jim Cole helped the Devon team take gold in the inter-counties match while Jenny Sabine making her debut over the distance was part of the team which took silver in the ladies’ race.
