THERE was little neighbourly love dished out by West Devon C in the Tavistock Snooker League as they notched up their first win of the season against their B team.

Going in front with a first from Montgomery they were soon in arrears as the B team hit back with wins from John Rich and Skipper Gilchrist. Hodge ousted the B team's Roger Rich to equalise. The decider was a good steady performance and first league win for Hooper over May to clinch it for the C team.

A good win for Conservative Z over Conservative B also took them above the B team in the league on goal difference

The B team were soon one up as Andrews took out Symons, only for a sharp response from the Z team which saw good match – play from Fitzsimmons and Dodd accounting for Lillicrap and Ewings.

Despite Evans pulling the B team level with a comfortable frame over Hackney, the calm Morton overcame a spirited challenge from Monk to seal it for the Z Team.

At the top end of the league, Tavy A's Hicks and Ryall took out the two most dangerous West Devon A players, Emptage and Rich to open up a two frame lead. WD's Taylor disposed of Horrell, with his team mate Heathman playing superbly against Hoare to draw the West Devon level.

The comeback was complete with WD's Hall putting in a superb shift to remove Tavy's danger man Woods with a tidy 23 break along the way.
