CONGRATULATIONS to Year 11 Mount Kelly pupil, Emlyn Oxenham, who has been selected by England Hockey for an upcoming three match series and for the Belgium tests in July. 

Year 8 pupil, Zara Rizk, has been chosen to take part in the UK U13 Festival of Hockey, playing in the A team of the West Panthers Hockey squad, representing the South West. The festival will take place from 6-8 July in Manchester.

Another West Devon player has also been called up. Charlie Brownlow a former pupil from Horrabridge primary school and currently at Tavistock College was selected to play for the West Panthers hockey trophy team at the UK hockey festival in Nottingham, 

Charlie, who is aged 13, took part in seven games over a weekend playing other teams from England, Scotland and Wales in the U13s tournament. He scored the two crucial goals in the semi finals against a team from the North East, and in the final he scored the winning goal against Wales.
