BACK in the summer of 2018 Okehampton Smallbore Club entered two teams in the Hertfordshire timed league shooting against the clock.

The first team of Paul Batten, Richard Miles and Martin Elliott finished in second place in division one, while the B team did slightly better, taking first position in division two by four points, a good margin over Hendon B team.

As winners of division two, OSC B team members Amanda Elliott, Lawrence Benny and Stuart Batley were invited to shoot in the Challenge Cup against Hendon A, the winners of division one.

The competition took place on a handicap basis with the Okehampton team improving their performance from the first round, finishing with a positive result, while the Hendon A team did not shoot as well as they had previously finishing with a negative result.

Therefore Okehampton B was successful in winning the Challenge Cup.
