Tavistock v Stoke Gabriel

TAVISTOCK welcomed Stoke Gabriel and having won the toss elected to bat.

Ian Grey batted superbly and carried his bat in making 112.

The in form Tim Pope again looked the part with a classy 51 while father and son John and James McGßahey with 31 and 21 helped the home side to 243 in the allotted 45 overs.

In response, Travis Muller bowled the Stoke opener for a duck. However the batters applied themselves well to the run chase and maintained the six an over required throughout the innings.

While Muller and McGahey took two wickets each, the missing players were sorely missed.

Stoke hit the winning runs with only four balls remaining.
