OCRA Flyers are flying high after a good day at the Southern Schools Zonal 2019 trampoline competition.
Madison Vine, representing Launceston College, came third in the Year 7 to 9 intermediate grade and has qualified for the schools national final in Cannock, Birmingham.
Owen Pitman, representing Queen Elizabeth’s College, came eighth in the elite grade for Years 10 to 14, and Miya Porter, representing Okehampton College, for coming eighth in the Year 7 to 9 intermediate grade.
This was the second round of the BSGA schools competitions. In the South West regional schools competition in Taunton, Owen Pitman came secondnd in the Year 10 to 14 elite grade, with Madison Vine second and Miya Porter third in the Year 7 to 9 intermediate grade to qualify for the second round. Harry Pitman came fifth in the Year 7 to 9 intermediate boys, representing Queen Elizabeth’s College, with Bethan Honey 13th in the intermediate Year 1 to 6 girls representing Bridestowe Primary School. Alice Smith and Tasmine Paterson came 15th and 16th in the novice girls Year 7 to 8 grade, representing Queen Elizabeth’s College and Okehampton College respectively.
OCRA Flyers coach Vicki Pritchard said: ‘This was our first season competing in the schools series. Well done to all of the children who competed, and thank you very much to the schools for their support.’
