Devon seconds B Sidmouth thirds v Tavistock seconds TAVISTOCK made the long trip to Newton Poppleford to play second placed Sidmouth. Good opening bowling from David Milligan and Callum Worth kept the Sidmouth batting side down, and the introduction of Sam Willets meant Sidmouth began losing wickets. Ovens and Munday scored 30 plus but no one else dominated the Tavistock bowlers. Rob Milligan and Marc Webber backed up Willets by removing wickets regularly, and although too many wides were bowled, 208 all out was a good effort from the Tavistock team. A disappointing start to the innings saw two wickets fall quickly but once again young 12-year-old James White showed maturity beyond his years with a solid 26 and Marc Webber and John McGahey kept the score board ticking. Andy Gauler played a sensible innings to accumulate points for Tavistock, and although finishing 36 runs short of Sidmouth's total, enough points were achieved to ensure the comfortable place in the mid-table.
