OKEHAMPTON Running Club had runners at yet another spring marathon when Roger Voaden and Paul Carter, who have run in the region of 70 marathons between them, took part in the Dorset Village Marathon.

This is the third marathon Roger has completed already this year in his attempt to complete 50 marathons before he reaches a 'certain age'. Paul was making a welcome return from injury. They finished joint 12th overall with a time of 3 hours 14 minutes 19 seconds in a negative split and have qualified to run in the London Marathon next year.

The Hartland Hartbreaker offers a choice of eight or 17 miles along the rugged north Devon coastline.

Ali Holiday, Karen and Lucy Skye regularly train together on Dartmoor and found the steep hills to be no problem. They all ran together to finish in 1.44.37.

At the Crediton Crunch, a multi terrain race of about 10K Charlotte Radnor was the first to finish from Okehampton Running Club in a time of 53 minutes 54 seconds followed by Lora Medland 1.02.53, Nicola Smith 1.02.54 and Caroline Wilson 1.03.03.

ORCs at the Honiton Hippo results: Mike Baker 1.04.41, Alan Luffingham 1.25.26, Carole Cornwall, Katy Speak, Heidi Wills and Ali Holliday all 1.26.51.
