PHOEBE Muir, a Year 10 student at Okehampton College, won the Junior National Indoor Rowing Championship in London on March 17. Phoebe, aged 15 and from Chagford, rows for Exeter Rowing Club.

She  also won a cup for the fastest female rower at the championship with competitors ranging up to year 12.

The young rower has rowed on the River Exe for more than two years and has competed and has had success at regattas across the South West. This was her first indoor rowing competition.
