NATHAN Newton from Bere Alston won and smashed the course record at the Jurassic man extreme triathlon.

On Dorset coast on August 19, Nathan from Tavistock Triathlon Club, competed in the Jurassic man extreme triathlon hosted by Brutal Events, one of the toughest iron distance triathlons in the country.

With rough sea conditions, a hilly bike course and a coastal off road marathon to finish Nathan won the event and broke the course record by 1 hour 45 minutes. He led the race from start to finish and completed it in 12 hours and 23 minutes. This follows on from his previous victory at the Enduroman Double Iron back in May.
