TWO of the newest members of Mount Kelly’s international swim squad stand shoulder to shoulder with the most senior member.
Robin Brew, Olympic record holder and director of Mount Kelly’s swim school, triumphed in the annual Postal Swim.
The British Long Distance Swimming Association hold an annual competition in a national test of endurance. In simple terms — swim as far as you can in one hour. Alice Kinsey, Alex Hobbs, Jasmin Morgan, Emma Collings and Robin Brew all excelled in this challenge. Collectively swimming an excellent 17,275 metres between them. The competition is open to any swimmer in the UK. Held between January and March swimmers are split in to age, gender and disability.
Alice Kinsey U10 girls, 3,290m, gold; Alex Hobbs U11 boys (H1) 2,425m, gold; Jasmin Morgan U24 ladies, 3,820m, silver; Emma Collings, U34 ladies, 3,620m, gold; Robin Brew U54, gents 4,120m gold.
