THE Mount Kelly U13 girls’ cross country team are now ranked sixth in the country.

The team reached the Schools’ National Cross Country Cup finals held at Formby, Lancashire on Saturday, after winning the regionals at King’s Taunton School last month. 

Each runner put in such tremendous effort for the team when faced with the very best competition in England. There were 24 teams and 140 runners competing in this national final. 

Mount Kelly had four  runners in the top 51, with Sophie Main coming in 21st and Amelia Riggott — still in year 7 — in overall 33rd place.
