MOUNT House School sent one of its strongest teams ever to the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships in Birmingham, and came home with gold and silver medals to their credit.
The outstanding performance of the day came from Charlotte Moore, who won gold in the under-12 shot putt, achieving a distance of 7m 92cm, breaking the school record in the process. Samantha Unsworth-White was also in fine form, coming a close second to take silver in the under-14 Girls' 75m hurdles.
The under 14 girls' relay team – Ella Cunningham, Emma Manton, Jess Huntington and Samantha Unsworth-White — concluded their excellent season by breaking their own school record for the event yet again, with a new best time of 56.15 seconds.
Every member of the Mount House team performed well against formidable opposition, and provided a perfect finale to a memorable athletics season.
