LEWDOWN batsman Marco Marais stole the show in a mighty performance by him and his team-mates against South Devon on Saturday.

In the Devon B game top of the table were merciless against bottom of the table South Devon as they posted a huge 371-6 declared. Marco Marais just missed out on a double century with a magnificent 190. His efforts were supported by contributions of 56 by M Jordan, 33 by E Squire and 23 from D Ball.

In reply South Devon could only muster 120-5 with 33 coming from J Parsons and 32 by A Hewings and 30 not out from R Beaumont before rain stopped play.

Lewdown, 19 points, beat South Devon, four points, by 128 runs in this rain affected game.
