IN the Devon Second XI D West match between Lewdown seconds and Ashburton seconds on Saturday ended in a comfortable win for the home team.

Ashburton seconds reached 131 in their innings, thanks mainly by A Lacey who scored 59. The damage to their efforts was done by Sam Spry with bowling figures of 5-28.

A 48 by Lewdown batsman Olly Brown was the anchor for a total of 132-4 as they eased past the Ashburton score.

Lewdown (20 points) beat Ashburton (8pts) by six wickets.
