Kilmington v Whitchuch

WHITCHURCH'S journey to Kilmington lasted longer than the match as the first team returned home with only miles on the clock and not a single point.

In the blink of eye Whitchurch had three men back in the pavilion without a run on the board. All three wickets to Noble who went on to take 5-25. He was well supported by Wallis whose first seven overs yielded a single wide only.

Whitchurch's top scorers were Frost (11) and Meadows (10) as they were humbled for 47 all out in 29 overs. Cook chipping in with 3-10.

Kilmington suffered an early loss with Kerswill taking a wicket on his return to the side.

However, there was to be no further joy for the visitors as Kilmington romped home by nine wickets with 47 overs to spare.

Plenty of time on the journey home for Whitchurch to lick their wounds and come out fighting next week.
