OKEHAMPTON Hockey Club U12s girls team played in the first round of the Devon U12s  tournament at Exeter University on Sunday.

They narrowly lost their first two games against Tiverton White Eagles and Plymouth Marjons, and then drew in a great game against Sidmouth.

The boys U12s team also went to Exeter on Saturday to play in the Devon leagues. It was the boy's first experience of competitive hockey and they lost their first two games to Exeter CV Hornets and Ashmoor, with both games being decided by last minute goals. The boys bounced straight back to beat Sidmouth/Ottery 3-l. They finished with an excellent game against Isca, which could easily have gone either way.
