REECE Worth of Yelverton was selected as part of a team of 24 junior and senior British and English talent athletes to compete in an open water competition in Majorca last week. Other swimmers included Tom Allen and Keri-Anne Payne, Great Britain's leading open water swimmers. Reece came first in both the junior 5k race in a time of 59 minutes 03 seconds and the junior 7k race in a time of 1 hour 19 mins 57 secs. Reece will now compete in the Great North Swim men's elite race at Windermere on June 15, which is a qualifying race for selection to represent Great Britain at the European juniors in Croatia on July 18.
