SEVERAL students from the Tavistock, Plymouth and Launceston Clubs got involved with the Tavistock Lions by performing a jujitsu demonstration for 'fun day in the Meadows' as part of Tavistock Carnival week. Umberto Bergonzini, the Tavistock and Plymouth clubs' instructor, said he was overwhelmed by the support received as some of them had only the night before come back from an international jujitsu summer camp in Italy. They hoped to create something entertaining for the public as well as portraying what jujitsu is all about. He said: 'I am proud to say it was fantastic. Everyone did extremely well, especially the youngsters.'
