ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a large field entered a three ball, two to count, Stableford competition for the Ted Brown Trophy.

The winners of division one and the Ted Brown Trophy were Lee Pengelly, Kevin Cornwall and Mark Wonnacott with 85 points on the back six from, in second, Paul Skidmore, Richard Reid and Alan Mann.

In third place with 81pts were Del Owen, Graham Moysey and Evan Rees.

Division two was won by Paul Rogers, Mike Charlesworth and Andrew Rogers with 75pts.

Second were Kevin Harding, Roger Slack and Stuart Tolley with 73pts and in third with 71pts were Brian Willcocks, Adrian Raymond and Keith Harvey.

On Wednesday the ladies played a three ball Texas Scramble which proved to be an incredibly close competition.

The eventual winners were Elaine Marwood, Sylvie Gowers and Maggie Caws; following in second place were Cherry James, Pam Jarman and Doris Jewell.
