Okehampton 4

ISCA B 0

OKEHAMPTON faced a very tough ISCA side who were full of hugely experienced and ex national players.

Straight from the start Okehampton won the ball and moved it at such pace with the guile and industry of the midfield quartet allowing the forwards to raise havoc on the Exeter side with resulting devastating consequences.

The hosts took the lead from a move that started inside thier own 25, whe Josh Speak won a tackle, passed to Mark Parsons who beat his man and fed the excellent Lewis Day; Day returned it to Parsons who reversed the ball back across goal for Luke Miller to sweep home.

The first half continued to be open and end to end but the home side rarely looked under pressure in defence with the visitors finding difficulty in break through Oke's superb defence.

When the visitors were gaining some possession the hosts again were clinical. James Rogers hit a hard low ball into Parsons whose deft flick flew into the bottom corner to give the home side a 2-0 lead at half time.

Okehampton dominated the second half with the away side troubling only on the odd occasion as Will Cooper,Luke  Liversidge and especially Jonny Aylen all having outstanding games at the back.

With Sam Whalley first and then keeper Andy Harvey only have to clear a couple of times it was time for the midfielders and forwards to take control.

Miller's form continued with what was probably Oke's goal of the season as he smashed the ball into the top corner after a good pass from Josh Speak and beating two defenders.

With the visitors pushing and leaving gaps everywhere the home side took advantage and could have created more with Daan Rademaker prominent on the right.

The third came from the left as Martin Jones smashed a ball to the far post to find an unmarked Day to sweep in the fourth.

This was a superb result with everyone giving superb performanaces.

This week Okehampton play Caradon needing only a point to guarantee their promotion to southern one.
