AFTER last weeks heroics, taking out top of the Tavistock Snooker League table Conservative A, West Devon B came down to earth with a large bump this week at the hands of Con B who ran five frames past them.
First on Toland was no match for the return of Con B's Dolan who restricted him to a single figure score in a one sided encounter.
The second frame saw 'steady at the helm' McKechnie overcame Rich (senior), to put the Con B's two up. Con B's Monk bounced back from recent reversals to control his frame over Rich (junior), along with his team mate Evans who also made short work of West Devon's star from the previous week, Gilchrist.
Lillicrap provided the 'icing on the cake' for the Con B's with a hard won win over the dangerous Hoare, a late 15 break with two flukes inclusive, doing the damage to Hoare and providing the 'high five' for the Conservative B.
West Devon A struggled again this season to exert their authority over teams as they had to fight back from a two frame deficit to overcome West Devon D.
The WD D teams Murton gave his team a dream start by removing the effervescent Emptage.
Shrimpton (junior) had the better of Lawrence in a low scoring game to put the D Team 2-0 up. The WD A Team comeback started with Rich completing a 'workman like' win over Shoulders, followed by Morris beating a combative Decieco, to pull the two teams level.
Heathman completed the West Devon A Team comeback with victory over May in comfortable fashion, a well worked 28 break from Heathman adding a bit of glitz to the proceedings.
