OKEHAMPTON Flyers duo Logan Neville and Mason Parker-Groves have both qualified for the National Age Group Finals, the highest-level British Gymnastics trampoline and double mini trampoline (DMT) final in the UK.

Logan has qualified for 11-12 men's trampoline, and Mason has qualified for 13-14 men's trampoline and DMT.

This is Logan's first year at FIG level trampoline, and his first year competing DMT. He achieved his first national silver medal in trampoline at silver level at the national English qualifier 2, and a first in the qualifying round for DMT and fifth in the final.

He also achieved 16th place at FIG level trampoline in his set and 19th overall. He has been progressing quickly and is preparing new upgrades for his routines and passes, including a barani double back link and a double back pike.

Mason has also had an extremely successful year, achieving one FIG gold and one FIG silver medal in DMT, one FIG bronze medal in trampoline at British Gymnastics UK FIG nationals, and a Home Nations gold medal in DMT representing England. He also achieved six silver medals at gold level trampoline and DMT at national English qualifier events this year.

Mason has also been progressing quickly in both disciplines, achieving new double double passes for DMT and seven double somersaults in his trampoline routine, hitting the secondary world score for trampoline for the first time at the English Championships.

Their coach, Vicki Pritchard, said: "We're really proud of the achievements of both gymnasts.

“It takes a lot of hard work to reach even the minimum requirements to enter FIG level, and to qualify for the national finals is an outstanding achievement."

Okehampton Flyers is trialling for its trampoline, DMT and tumbling squads. Anyone can trial, whether they're a beginner or already do trampolining or gymnastics and have moved to the area.
