TAVISTOCK AFC had an unlikely saviour to thank when they visited St. Blazey once more on Wednesday, August 19.

The pair had already met twice earlier in the morning, both in the FA Cup, and now it was time for a Western League clash.

It took just five minutes for Olly Redd to open the scoring at Blaise Park, in favour of the hosts.

Tom Chastey restored parity just before the break only for Tallan Mitchell to then put Blazey back in front.

Shane White headed in a second equaliser before Kai Burrell scored the third go-ahead goal for Dan Hart’s men.

Shortly after, the former Ivybridge Town forward was shown a second yellow, given the Lambs a much-needed advantage for the final moments.

Deep into added-time, who else but Tavistock goalkeeper Dan Holman rose the highest to convert from a corner and rescue the visitors a huge point.

Tavistock go again on Saturday (Aug 29) when they welcome Portishead Town to Langsford Park.
