KELLY College had 41 swim squad members representing them at the last weekend of the Devon County Amateur Swimming Association Championships 2013, held at the Life Centre, Plymouth.

Over the three weekends of the Championships, Kelly College's statistics make great reading including four national qualifying times, 13 championship wins, seven junior championship wins, three open Kelly College records, 29 age group Kelly records, 3 BAGCAT wins, 66 gold medals and 573 personal bests

Chloe Barrow (aged 14) won the ladies 100m butterfly championship in a NQT time of 1.03.21 and the junior championship for this event. Chloe also won 'skins' 50m freestyle event. Tom McLagan (16) won the 400m individual medley championship 4.36.13 while Jake Bentley (13) achieved his NQT in the 200m backstroke with a time of 2.18.10.

Kelly College record breakers were: Taku Chaza (12) in the 200m backstroke (2.24.61) 100m individual medley (1.06.94) and the 400m individual medley (5.08.67); Georgia Martin (12) did a 1.12.75 to break the 100m IM record and with a 5.24.33 for the 400m IM; Benjamin Staig (13) the 200m backstroke in 2.15.83 and the 100m IM in 1.06.04l in the 50m freestyle, William Luckham-Down(14) sped to a 25.85 personal best to claim the record.

BAGCAT Winners from Kelly were: Chloe Barrow girls 14 years, Taku Chaza boys 12 years and Cara Layden girls 13 years. Gold medallists: Chloe Barrow, Taku Chaza, Christy Gold, Georgia Martin, Thomas McLagan, Robert Nielsen, Leah Picillo, Ben Staig, Toby Stanyer and Polly White.
