Devon seconds premier
TAVISTOCK second XI put in a postive performance against a strong Exeter side.
With many players missing, it was going to be a difficult task. Tavistock were put into bat and were in a strong position after 20 overs; openers Chalk (34) and Stephens (13) seeing off the opening bowlers.
Exeter bowled well throughout and after taking the wickets of the opening pair, Tavistock struggled and were eventually bowled out for 106.
Exeter made hard work of their chase with Tavistock dominating periods through the tight bowling of Trembath and Stephens.
Willetts took three quick wickets late on but Exeter had enough to see the game off, winning by three wickets.
