PLAYERS at Hurdwick Golf Club enjoyed playing in the inagural Peter Brookbank Memorial Trophy.

Following the death through cancer of long time club member Peter Brookbank earlier this year, Hurdwick GC held an inaugural competition in his name. £300 was raised at the event which will go to St Luke's Hospice.

More than 50 players took part in the 'shotgun' Stableford. Peter's family took part and donated the winning trophy. There were also prizes for the winning team and lady.

Results: Winner of the trophy was Owen Cook with 41pts; 2, David Lang on 38pts, 3, Des Akred 36pts. The winning lady was Yvette Wood on 32pts) and the winning team Des Akred, Owen Cook and Brian Cook, 87pts.
