A MIXED open competition was held with perfect weather conditions at Okehampton Golf Club in a four ball better ball team event. The overall winners were Alan and Marcia Jones and Sue and David Stanbury (Okehampton/Ashbury) with 78 points on the back nine from, second overall Brian and Sally Newman and Richard and Karen Ward (Stover/Dainton Park).

Best combination prize went to Del Nash and Carol Skrzypczak with partners Aaron West and Kim Mundy (Okehampton/Holsworthy/Killio) with 76 points. First visitor's prize was awarded to Pete and Carol Robinson and Paul and Janet Waplington (Enmore Park) with 75 points and best home prize went to David and Sue Williams and Paul and Michelle Widdows with 74 points.

On Saturday a four ball better ball Stableford was held. It was a closely fought contest in division one with the first three pairs all achieving 42 points. After countback first place was awarded to Colin Cornwall and Mark Curtis. Second were Graham Moysey and Del Owen and in third were Kevin Cornwall and Malcolm Hill. The winners of division two were Ron Copeland and Graham Harding with 41 points. Steve Browne and Barry Ratcliffe were second with 38 points and in third with 37 points were Matt Flavin and Jim Morey.
