THE Rotary Tavistock Stableford golf competition was held on a cold and windy afternoon.

Tony Sherlock, playing well in the difficult conditions, led the field by three points at the half way point. David Tout started to reduce Tony’s lead on the back nine and by the 17th the scores were level. Tony then played brilliantly to ‘birdie’ the 18th, with a long putt, where David played the hole to par, making Tony the winner by a single point. John Bacon (a previous winner in 2012) was third with a great round of golf.
