The Spring Mixed Open was held on Sunday with 112 players enjoying the sunny weather.

The winners were John and Janet Ellis form Staddon Heights with 41pts. Yelverton member Paul Woods had the most expensive day by hitting a hole in one on the sixth. The leading Yelverton pair were David Jeramiah and Sally Hills who won the Sir Francis Drake Trophy. Results: 1, J and J Ellis 41pts; 2. N and R Ring 41pts; 3, P Selley and B McSherry 39pts.

YELVERTON  Golf Club veterans held their weekly three ball Stableford competition on May 11.

First place with 84 pts were Alan Malton, John Wayne and David Miles. Second with 80pts Keith Glassbrook, Noel Preston-Jones and Subodah Sud and in third on 79pts Paddy Westell, Nick Ring and Mike Bates.
