BLUE skies, sunshine and good company was the order of the day at Tavistock Golf Club for the annual men v ladies match for the Callard Trophy.
Unfortunately it was not such a good day for the ladies who were soundly beaten though many matches went to the 17th and 18th holes. The ladies look for revenge in the return match later in the year!
The glorious weather continued for the ladies medal and Rickard Bowl. The course was in great condition with lightning fast greens but, nevertheless, some excellent scores were posted.
First in division one was Hilary Picton with nett 72, second was Gilly Jarvis with nett 74 on countback from Chris Leach. With a superb score of nett 68 and winner of the Rickard Bowl was Teresa Hughes in division two. Marion Stenhouse was second with a nett 70 and, in third place, was Sue Coles with nett 74 on countback from Carolyn Crawford.
