NOMINATIONS for the prestigious Exeter Foundation Devon Sports Awards are now open. The promoters of the event, Active Devon and The Exeter Foundation, are inviting nominations from West Devon.

The awards not only celebrate the players, but the clubs and teams, the coaches, the officials and the volunteers who help performers to succeed.  

For 2015 organisers are keen that an even wider cross section of sport in Devon, both at community and elite level, is recognised.

Nominations are this year invited for 'Outstanding Performances in Sport'. Submissions can be sent in for any level of sport, and regardless of how many people play.

The awards will also feature many of the popular categories designed to honour coaches, clubs, volunteers and activities that help people from all parts of the community to get involved in sport.

l Devon Coach of the Year

l Devon Young Coach OTY

l Devon Club OTY

l Contribution to Inclusive Sport

l Devon Volunteer OTY

l Devon Young Volunteer OTY

Nominations for the 2015 Devon Sports Awards need to be in by March 1. Forms can be downloaded from the Active Devon website at http://www.activedevon.org/sportsawards2015">www.activedevon.org/sportsawards2015 and can be completed online, posted, or emailed to Active Devon.

The Devon Sports awards will take place on Friday 8 May 2015 at Sandy Park, Exeter.
