Tavistock v Bridestowe

HAVING recorded an emphatic win against Yelverton in their first match, Tavistock followed up with another success against Bridestowe at the Ring on Sunday.

Tavistock won the toss and batted and Rob Milligan and Tim Pope laid the foundation for a good score with an opening partnership of 125. Aaron Churchill and Josh Stephens kept the scoreboard ticking over at the end of the innings to post a decent score of 223-5.

The Bridestowe bowlers stuck to their task with the wickets being shared around.

Bridestowe made a confident start. Stuart Down, Will Searle, Barry Down and Tom Mallett all got good starts but a mid and late order collapse saw the last six wickets fall for no runs.

Shaun Daymond returned the remarkable figures of 3-1-6-4. Captain Jamie Stephens had 3-31 enabling his side to record a 91 run victory.
